On Sunday, May 24th,
May 4th
Choppy and blown out with onshore winds. Size is building—
good for a training session.
May 5th
Cleaned up by morning offshore winds. Size will be dropping,
so timing is key. High tide at dawn. Best to paddle out after 8:00 AM.
"Still some swell left in Sagami Bay tomorrow!
Morning’s looking like offshore vibes
for East Izu with that west wind.
Shonan should turn on in the afternoon
once the wind drops.
Worth checking out Chiba or Ibaraki too—
could be firing there!"
Update for 5/1: Waves rising, but conditions are a bit iffy. Early morning is likely the call. Good potential for Omaezaki and Shizunami.
Sagami Bay: 2.9m @ 7sec (Oshima-Boso). Size: Around head-high on sets. 5/2 looks promising for some remaining surf too.
Windy's shifting, but the line looks good.
My concern is the speed—it might be a "messy and over" scenario.
If it clears on May 1st night, the 2nd could be on. Depends on the early south wind.
